Beef Patty Recipe:

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, egg (if using), and breadcrumbs or crushed crackers (if using). Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated, but try not to overmix as this can make the patties tough.
  2. Shape Patties: Divide the mixture into equal portions based on how large you want your patties. Typically, for a standard-sized burger, you might want to shape the mixture into 4-6 patties. Shape each portion into a round patty, ensuring they are of even thickness so they cook uniformly.
  3. Cooking:
    • Pan-frying: Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil or vegetable oil to coat the bottom. Once the pan is hot, place the patties in the pan, leaving some space between each one. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they develop a nice crust and are cooked to your desired level of doneness (for medium-rare to medium, aim for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) to 160°F (71°C)).
    • Grilling: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Oil the grill grates to prevent sticking. Place the patties on the grill and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. Serve: Once cooked, you can serve these beef patties on burger buns with your favorite toppings and condiments, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.

Feel free to adjust the seasonings and ingredients according to your preferences. Enjoy your homemade beef patties!
