Crispy Chhicken Strips Recipe

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Cut the chicken breasts or tenders into strips, about 1 to 1.5 inches wide.
    • Season the chicken strips with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Ensure they are evenly coated.
  2. Set Up Breading Station:
    • Place the flour in a shallow dish or plate.
    • In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
    • In a third dish, mix together the panko breadcrumbs with a bit more paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for added flavor.
  3. Coat the Chicken:
    • Dredge each seasoned chicken strip in the flour, shaking off any excess.
    • Dip the floured chicken strip into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
    • Finally, coat the chicken strip thoroughly with the seasoned panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure they adhere well. Repeat this process for all the chicken strips.
  4. Heat the Oil:
    • In a large skillet or frying pan, heat about ½ inch of cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C). You can also use a deep fryer if you have one.
  5. Fry the Chicken Strips:
    • Carefully place the coated chicken strips in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook in batches if necessary.
    • Fry the chicken strips for about 3-4 minutes per side or until they are golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  6. Drain and Serve:
    • Once cooked, remove the chicken strips from the oil using a slotted spoon or tongs and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
    • Serve the crispy chicken strips hot with your favorite dipping sauce such as ranch dressing, barbecue sauce, or honey mustard.

Enjoy your homemade crispy chicken strips! They’re great for snacks, appetizers, or as a main course paired with side dishes like fries, coleslaw, or a fresh salad.
