For the Stout and Onion Gravy:
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 large onions, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup stout beer
1 cup beef broth
2 tbsp flour
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dried thyme
